outlook express headers?

I'm trying to figure out if it's possible to change the header when replying to messages using outlook express. by default it says something like ___ Original message from: so-and-so, etc, but i'm wondering if there's a way to modify that without manually changing it for every message i write. i don't want to get rid of it, just change the wording and make it shorter. is this doable? And if so, how is this done??

Thanks in advance and i hope my question is making sense.

If you used thunderbird, I would tell you how. However, as it is, I have no clue.

I'm not sure why you would want to do that, anyway. The only time it comes up is if someone is responding with the original message attached, and I don't usually do that anyway. And I have to confess I'm not familiar with Thunderbird, is that another Email program? Always thought it was a sort of cheap wine that made me violently sick once. <G>

Where would one obtain it if one might want to play with it? I have to say OE has always worked fine for my purposes and I've tried others. Having said that, OE isn't nearly as good as Pine used to be back in the good old DOS days.

Thunderbird is attained by typing in thunderbird into google. It's made by a company called mozilla, the same people who make firefox. Sorry I can't give a direct site.

Thunder Bird was the wine. Guess you got to sick to remember even the name of it. Cheap yes. hahaha
On the question if you don't want to see that set your outlook express to not attach the message when you reply then you'll not see it.

Yes, but you won't see the original message either.

I don't think there is anyway to change that text if you want the original message appended to your message.

I just hit ctrl-r and reply to the message and don't worry about the original message below it. I didn't like the pine mail reader because it kept rewriting the screen half the time.
